Furniture Removal in Wesley Chapel, FL
Text a photo of the sofa, the mattress or the whole bedroom set and the BD crew texts back one flat price, then carries it out from wherever it sits, often the same day. Single pieces are as welcome as a houseful, and nothing has to be dragged to the curb first.
The pieces that leave on our trailer most weeks
Anything that came into the house as furniture can leave the same way. Condition is not a barrier — soaked, torn, broken down or simply out of style all ride off the same.
Sofas and sectionals
Three-seaters, recliners, sleeper sofas with the frame still inside, and corner sectionals that have to come apart before they clear the hallway.
Mattresses and box springs
Every size, including the split box springs that never fit the stairwell. Bagged on the spot when the situation calls for it.
Bedroom furniture
Bed frames, headboards, dressers, wardrobes and the mirrored units that nobody wants to carry down a flight of stairs alone.
Dining and living rooms
Tables, chair sets, glass-front cabinets wrapped before they move, entertainment centers and bookcases nobody can shift alone.
Desks and office chairs
Home-office kit that outlived the job it was bought for. Larger office clear-outs run through commercial junk removal.
Lanai and patio sets
Sun-bleached rattan, rusted metal frames and cushions that have been rained on one season too many. A staple of Florida furniture removal.
Mattresses are their own particular problem
Of everything on this page, the mattress is the piece people most often try to deal with themselves and most often regret. It does not fold, it does not fit a sedan, curbside collection frequently refuses it, and it is awkward for one person on a staircase.
What we do with it
Mattresses are largely steel, foam and textile, so where a unit is intact and dry it goes to a recycler that separates those out rather than straight to the transfer station.
If there is any doubt
Suspected pests, heavy staining or water damage mean it is bagged before it moves and routed for disposal instead. Say so on the phone and we will bring what we need.
Please do not drag a mattress out to the road ahead of us hoping it saves money. It does not change the price, and a wet one that has sat on the driveway overnight is heavier and dirtier to handle than the one still on the bed frame.
Doorways, stairwells and the tight turn at the top
Most of the difficulty in furniture removal is not the weight, it is the route. A two-person crew and a bit of planning is usually the whole answer, and it is why we ask about the path rather than just the piece.
We take it apart
Sectionals split, recliner backs come off, bed frames break down and table legs come away. Whatever needs to happen for it to clear the opening, happens on site.
The house is protected
Door frames, stair rails and floors are what get damaged when furniture is rushed. We move slowly at the pinch points, which is cheaper for everyone than a repair.
Upstairs is normal
Second-floor bedrooms, walk-up apartments and the loft over a garage are routine. Mention the flight when you call so we send the right number of hands.
What furniture removal costs
The price comes from how much room the pieces take on the trailer, not from a per-item list and not from a clock. That means a bulky, light sectional and a small, dense pile can land in the same place — and you always hear the number before we touch anything.
| Load size | Roughly fits | A typical job |
|---|---|---|
| Single item | One sofa, mattress or dresser | The old couch out, the new one delivered |
| Quarter trailer | A bedroom set, or a few large pieces | A guest room emptied before family arrive |
| Half trailer | Several rooms of furniture | A rental refurnished between tenants |
| Full trailer | A whole house of furnishings | A move-out, or a full downsizing |
Stairs, a long carry from a back bedroom, or a piece that has to be dismantled add labor rather than a separate fee — they are considered when the flat number is worked out, not billed on afterwards.
Anything still usable gets offered on first
A surprising share of what people call junk is furniture somebody else would happily take. Sorting that out is part of the job rather than a favour, and it is why nothing leaves here as one undifferentiated load.
Offered for donation
- Sound sofas, chairs and dining sets
- Dressers, desks and bookcases in one piece
- Bed frames without the mattress
- Anything clean, dry and structurally fine
Recycled or disposed
- Metal frames and bed rails to scrap
- Intact mattresses to a mattress recycler
- Water-damaged or broken pieces to disposal
- Upholstery that is past saving
If a piece has real sentimental or resale value, say so before we load — it is far easier to set aside at the start than to chase afterwards.
What "the store will take the old one" usually means
Plenty of retailers offer haul-away with a delivery, and where it works it is worth taking. It is worth knowing the usual limits before you rely on it, because the gap is where most of our single-item calls come from.
Where it tends to stop
- One old piece for one new piece, like for like
- Same room only — not the spare bed upstairs as well
- The delivery day, in the delivery window, or not at all
- Frequently refused if the item is wet or soiled
Where we pick it up
- Several pieces at once, from any room
- The bed frame and the dresser as well as the mattress
- Booked on a day that suits you, not the retailer
- Condition is not a reason to refuse the job
If a delivery is already scheduled and only part of what you are replacing is covered, it is usually cheapest to let the store take that one piece and have us clear the rest in the same week rather than booking two separate visits of our own.

Furniture removal questions
Will you take just one piece of furniture?
Yes, and it is one of the most common bookings we get. There is no minimum load and no surcharge for a small job — a single sofa or mattress is priced at the bottom of the scale and handled the same way as a full house.
Do you take mattresses?
We do, in every size and with the box spring if there is one. Intact, dry mattresses go to a recycler that separates the steel, foam and fabric. Anything soaked, heavily stained or suspected of pests is bagged before it moves and sent for disposal instead.
My sectional will not fit through the door. Is that a problem?
No. Sectionals come apart, recliner backs unclip and frames unbolt, and the crew carries the tools to do it. Mention the piece and the doorway when you book so the right hands and the right kit turn up together.
Can you come the same day the new furniture is delivered?
Often, and it is worth asking. Wesley Chapel is our home patch so the truck is usually nearby. Ring in the morning with the delivery window and we will tell you honestly whether we can slot in around it.
Does damaged furniture cost more to remove?
Not in itself. What moves the figure is the space it occupies on the trailer and how much of it there is. A torn sofa and a pristine one of the same size land in the same place, so there is no reason to apologize for the condition.
Could my old furniture be donated instead?
That is the first thing we try. Anything clean, dry and structurally sound is put in front of local donation partners as the first option. Whether a particular item is accepted is up to the receiving organization, not us.
Do I need to be there while you work?
Someone needs to confirm the price and point at what is going, but that can be done by phone if a neighbor or agent lets us in. Plenty of rental and listing jobs run without the owner on site at all.
How and when do I pay?
At the end, after the furniture is on the trailer and you have looked at the room. Nothing is taken up front to hold an appointment.
